For a formal reception in a ballroom, are pink LED floral lights pretty or tacky?

im a florist. id use the led lights for coctail hour on the cocktail tables. not for the diner (little tacky) Hoever i HIGHLY reccomend using Pin spot lighting on ur arrangments. talk to ur florist or call a lighting company in ur area to see what it looks like. Good luck!

Reply:yea, I agree, its all about how you set it up! Lighting can make all of the difference at a reception. If you do the pink lights, try to tone down the colors of the flowers, stay with neutrals. My best advice is buy a few and set up a mock table in your dining room. Turn off the lights and set ot up like it would be at your reception, then you can decide if its really what you want
Reply:If you use them sparingly they should be fine. Its YOUR wedding, so why not do what you want?



I'd get the ones with on/off switches, perhaps in soft pink, and white.



Just don't get carried away with it and it should look fine. Try to acheive a soft effect.



Personally I think the new LED candles are a good idea, as there is no fire hazard. I love candles, but they could work just as well.



The lighted water lily is very pretty and would look great floating in a large glass bowl on some of the tables.

I'm not so crazy about the colored lights, I guess in my opinion they're kinda tacky. But if you just got white lights it'd be awesome!
Reply:I will be honest....I think they are a bit tacky. I understand that you probably like the pinlight glowing effect but that is just not elegant enough looking
Reply:I think that it is pretty the way it is set up on line. Don't use to much or it could get tacky.
