Potato Tuberworms? In my dried Floral? Help!!?

I have a vase of dried roses and other dried floral that I have bought. In the summer I must have killed a dozen baby moths. I figured it was coming form the roses since they have little holes in them. They had stoped as soon as winter came so I havent done anything with them. Today I found a white worm with dark head in a glass of water next to the table where I keep the vase. I looked it up and found that they were called Potato Tuberworms. Has anyone had these??? Should I toss the dried stems or do they hibernate in winter? I dont want to find more of these worms I dont know how it got in my glass of water now im affraid there is more somewhere! Please Help!

Potato Tuberworms? In my dried Floral? Help!!?
Gross! I hate worms!!! I would not take the chance- get rid of those flowers ASAP!!!! what all does it say about the tuberworms?? Are they inside bugs?? It doesn't sound like it to me, how could it have crawled into a glass of water. I think it is safe to assume that it fell out of those flowers. Good luck, I hope no more have hatched!!!

I was just wondering about floral pattens and how long they are going to be in fashion?

ok so I have a few questions:

1) How long will the flowers be in fashion?

2) are floral prints in fashion anywhere but the UK?

3) How much would you spend on an everyday dress and is £50 too much for a student who only gets £30 a week spending money

=) thanks

I was just wondering about floral pattens and how long they are going to be in fashion?
hi, im american by the way and dont get much spending money at all, so when i buy something it has to be good, also im majoring in fashion merchandising next year, so i know pretty well the industry.

florals are undoubtedly one of the hottest spring/summer trends of 2008 so i am buying tons of cute light, flowy floral prints and embriodered shirts and dresses. i think that the fall and winter are going to not include florals because of the temperature and season. but if you want something for the summer, florals are still hot!

im not saying they will be as hot next year, chances they won't but remember fashion is a wheel: most incredibly popular trends such as the high wasted pants and gladiator sandals were all once part of history, so dont throw those old clothes away
Reply:im american. i dont even know what that symbol means. i wore a cocktail dress to my prom last weekend though and its not just a prom dress its like a going out dress but i am definatly going to wear it for the rest of the summer--if that helps at all
Reply:They're not ACTUALLY in fashion. All of that floral crap was horrible in the early 90s and it is every bit as horrible now. Why would anyone want to look like they are wearing old lady wallpaper. Ugh.

Where can I find these floral sandals in the US?

I love this sandals I found at asos.com :

http://www.asos.com/Asos/Floral-Printed-... Sandals%26amp;sh=0

I think the shipping from the UK to the US can be expensive + there's a possibility I would have to pay some taxes and duties when I receive the shoes.

Can you tell me where to find sandals similar to those that I can buy in the US???

PS. I already tried ebay....

Where can I find these floral sandals in the US?
Maybe American Appeal? Payless? I don't know you have to look around. You probably won't find those same ones but you can find similar ones.

What is proper dress after labor day - can floral print be worn?

emerald green background with large flowers and a solid emerald short sleeve jacket describes the dress I would like to wear the weekend after labor day

What is proper dress after labor day - can floral print be worn?
This rule no longer applies. Feel free to wear white shoes too. :)
Reply:Who cares!! Wear whatever you want. I wear all my clothes year round, no matter what the color. It just depends what the occasion is.
Reply:Go ahead! That whole white after labor day no longer exsists. as long as the fabric isn't sheer and flimsy you're ok.
Reply:I might not wear it to a wedding, but most of the pre- and post-labor day rules have gone out of style, so there's no need to worry. Floral print is always in style, and emerald green is a big color this season. I say wear it and be proud! :)
Reply:Guess it wouldn't be so bad, but after that don't!
Reply:After Labor Day, people usually tend to strart breaking out the fall/winter clothes. But, I live in Houston and there's no way we're ready for winter clothes yet!! Since it just passed, I think your outfit will be fine for the weekend after Labor Day.

What does Kate Spade perfume smell like. Floral? etc.?

Very sweet Gardenia. I mean very sweet...I was surprised. It's not for everyone, and harder to find now. It might be discontinued now...You can find something like it, like Marc Jacobs. It's almost the same.

I need some ideas on decor for a baby's room with a "tea party" theme?

The room will be painted a light lavender, and the bedding is lavender/mint green floral...kind of a "shabby chic" design. I would like to stay away from "cutsie" types of art, etc., and make the room more like a room you would decorate in the house that doesn't scream B-A-B-Y! Does anyone have any ideas? If not, and if you don't have something nice to say, then please visit another question...thanks!

I need some ideas on decor for a baby's room with a "tea party" theme?
I found a site that may help you out....the decor is super cute! Good luck!
Reply:Hi, i have seen fabric with a tea party theme on it. I make Fabric Wall Art if you would like to have a look. I can most likely get you a picture of the fabric if you wish. You can check out my website for some inspiration and contact me through the website if you would like to see the fabric i am talking about. http://www.kimtdesigns.com
Reply:What about a funky Mad-hatter tea party theme? You could have the sleepy doormouse painted on the wall, or the Rabbbit and watch, and the mad hatter? You could go really funky looking, or more traditional.

What's a pretty medium sized bush?

I need to replace our current ones. I'd like a floral type bush....not just a green thing. The one we have now use to bloom to this amazing red color in the spring. My husband then sprayed it accidentally and killed it. Don't really want to do the same....as he's always disliked mowing around it. Suggestions? We live in Eastern NE.

What's a pretty medium sized bush?
Ivy stole my answer i love spireas they are beautiful.
Reply:Spirea bush, it comes in several colors, doesn't have big messy leaves and can be kept neat with trimming, best it blooms most of the summer with maybe a short breathing period. Good luck!
Reply:I absolutley love King George Heather. It blooms in late winter with small bell shaped flowers. It's an evergreen shrub with lilac colored leaves (mine is) that provide color all year long. It's about 15" high by 15"width. It's cold hearty and should be planted in full sun area.
Reply:The butterfly bush is always fun...

Sewing drapery panels together?

Have any of you ever sewn pleated drapery panels together? I had to buy 4 (FLORAL) panels to fit my big double window and I need to sew 2 together for each side. My question is: Should I try to completely open the seams on the the side of the panel, then sew them together or just stitch them with the seams left intact? I'm not sure how they will look because I will have sheer curtains behind them. Also how hard is it to seem together the pleats at the top and make them look like they are all one piece of fabric? I'm new to sewing and fell in love with these curtains when I saw them. I hoping with some help I can tackle this project. Thank You for any suggestions.

Sewing drapery panels together?
This might be worth having a seamstress do it.

To do it right you need to open the top and pull the side hems, then match them, sew them, press them out to look professional, then re hem the bottom and the top.

Reply:It's perfectly okay to wear black, but if you have a lighter dress, you might want to consider wearing it just b/c black absorbs the sun's heat, so you might get really hot!
Reply:The floral pattern and the green band make up for the black.I just hope it doesn't get to warm and roast you. You'll be fine have a good time

I need some advice with what color/fabric/pattern I should choose for my living room curtains?

I want to give an elegant look to this room.

Color of walls: White

Floor: beige carpet

Color of sofa: burgundy/green/navy blue/gold plaid print

Two sitting chairs: burgundy with very small green diamond print

Pillows: navy, burgundy, green, gold floral print

Table: wood stained in very dark navy blue

Painting: back drop is mainly navy blue

Grandfather clock: cherry wood

The dining room sits directly across from the living room and those walls are covered in a dark green wallpaper and the table and other furnishings are cherry wood. Both the living and dining rooms each have 3 large windows. The curtains in the dining room are currently white. Any advice would be very appreciated. Thank you.

I need some advice with what color/fabric/pattern I should choose for my living room curtains?
I would suggest hanging the same curtains in both you living room and dining room to tie the room together since the colors in them are similar. Not knowing the kind of windows you have I will assume they are standard windows. Try hanging decorative black curtain rods on the wall about 2 1/2 inches above the window frame. Next hang yellow gold drapes that flow to just above the floor. If you choose not to go with the gold, pick another color from your accents. Stay away from the blues and greens as you have plenty of those colors already. Bed Bath and Beyond sells panels as I have described in a soft faux suede. It will be a very classy addition to the rooms.
Reply:gold curtains. when you put gold in anything, it would definitely look luxurious.
Reply:look for a broad stripe with both gold and blue silk.try to match the colour of the sofa.

i think i might leave the dining room white or if the need to kick it up a bit is there, try silver silk or even silver and white broad stripe silk.

in a large room you can pool the fabric underneath but if the room is small i wouldn't.
Reply:I suggest going with a gold tone fabric on your curtains. It is elegant and ties in with the dark wood as well as your colors. I prefer the tie back type that have a valance attached.
Reply:Champage or light Gold metallic sheers. I would not do a print, you already have plenty of print in the room.

This question is for anyone who has ever attended a baptism?

My brother has asked me to be the God mother of his new baby girl and of course I said yes. However, she is being baptised the last sunday in march and I have no clue on what to wear. I got some advice and tips from my friend, but I cant seem to find anything anywhere. However, I did happen to browse on Dillards' website and found this really cute sun dress. It is on the dressy side, but it is also semi casual looking. But I was telling my friend about it and she asked me what the color of the dress is, and I told her it is white with peachy colored floral on it. She told me that sometimes you are not allowed to wear white to a baptismal. Is that true or is white okay? Technically the dress isnt only white. But I am just asking to be sure.

What do you think? Is white okay to wear to a baptismal or should I keep looking and find something else? What color would you suggest be okay to wear if not white?

This question is for anyone who has ever attended a baptism?
I checked with my grandmother and she said that white is allowed at the baptism.
Reply:I would not wear a pure white dress, but what you have described sounds fine.
Reply:I was just about to suggest white. I'm not quite sure if that isn't allowed. I recently attended a baptism for a friend's baby. They dressed the baby in a white garment. Again, I'm not sure if white isn't allowed at a baptism but I would suggest something with bright colors. Like, a blue or a pink or even yellow.
Reply:you can wear anything.. there's no color-restriction.. and white would be a very good choice! just wear something semi-casual..
Reply:ummm....... i think taht u should wear a cute pant suit ..... but remeber 2 wear only fitted ones caz if it iz lose... then it will look awful!!!!!!

if u r keen on wearing a dress..... i suggest a cream colour so that u don't accidental violate teh dress code....... also a knee lenght with metallic high heeled sandals and a cute clutch...... i would reccomend a different dress caz it might b a little bit tooo summery for this kinda event.....

Stay Gorgeous,

Lollie
Reply:your going to church for a batism , make your outfit cool and sexy,m but make your outfit blend in alittle
Reply:wear white it symbolizes puriTy and cleanness
Reply:I dont think theres a dress code for a Baptism. a sun dress is perfect. a short dress would be the only inapproriete thing to wear. go for the sun dress! Good luck
Reply:I been to many baptisms and I never heard of a color regulation so any color should be fine but one thing I have heard was some woman wear there dresses with very low cuts and very high splits that is the only thing I would be mindful of
Reply:Don't wear white when it gets wet it will turn clear when it gets wet try something dark and nice yet not fancy!!!!!!

Hope this helps you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im getting a tattoo on my lower back for my 16 birthday, and ideas?

i want someting floral, and not too big.

Im getting a tattoo on my lower back for my 16 birthday, and ideas?
Well depending on where you live, my suggestion is that you bring a parent or you won't get any service. Most (if not all) states require you're 18.
Reply:If you dont know what you want then you shouldnt be getting one. It's going to stay on your body forever so you need to be sure and sure for awhile that you will like what you get forever
Reply:Do you want my real opinion? Wait!! I got tattoos when I was younger and now I regret them. just wait about 5 years and see where you are at and maybe you will change your mind. That is not to say tattoos are not cool but I would wait and see and maybe just get a temp. tattoo they look like the real thing and the good thing is they are removable and you can change where you want it the next time. Be Well and think about it ok?
Reply:Okay, wow...16? Its a little young..but you do what you want...just remember, its there for life. And the lower back is considered a "Tramp Stamp"... Most girls get butterflies and stuff like that...its really up to you to decide what you want, after all its your body..and your the only one who has to like it... If the design is not something that you would be proud to show, then you shouldn't get it.... Make sure the design is of something that makes you happy, its what you want, not what others want, its not their body, they don't have to live with it, so therefore its not their choice... Hope this helps... and good luck in choosing a design!!!
Reply:You're too young to get a tattoo, the legal age for getting a tattoo by a reputable tattoo parlor is 18.
Reply:you should get your name with hearts around it
Reply:wow! 16 and a tattoo! where are YOUR parents?
Reply:I would recommend looking around for a while before you decide what you want to get.

1) You can go to your local artist and take a look at the flash, (pictures of tattoos usually hanging on a wall or bound in an album)

2) There are many wonderful pics of tats online, try doing a google image search and see what you find!

I have one last piece of advice, once you find something you like, print out multiple copies of it. Put one next to your bed, on your mirror, next to the tv, in your notebooks at school, anywhere you're going to see it alot. If at any point in time you get sick and tired of looking at it, I would try to find a new design.
Reply:How about a target? or you could do a daisy design - don't see that a lot. Be original.
Reply:Don't get a tattoo until you are at least 18 +. There a ton of options out there for tattoos and Flowers are "TYPICAL" now a days, especially on the LOWER BACK!! These are called "TRAMP STAMPS". If you want to get something, get it on your shoulder blade, ankle, lower stomach (near the bellybutton) %26amp; be ORIGINAL!! Here is a website for you to check out...

www.tattoojohnny.com

there are THOUSANDS of tattoos to pick from...hearts, stars, rainbows, clovers, flowers, angels, cats...you name it..they have it. You will also need a credit card (MOM or DAD obviously) to buy the tattoo pic. and STENCIL. The tattoo guy/girl will need both of these when doing it for you, it makes it 100x's easier for them instead of randomly going into there store and picking one out. The prices also range from like $2.00 and up. Once you buy it, you can print it off and bring it to the tat. store.

Good luck

~S

PS to someone who said they aren't old enough..she CAN go into a tat. store with a PARENT or GUARDIAN, they will have to sign documents stating they are in charge of her etc etc. My bf's little brother has 2 friends who are 16 and 17 and have tats. but there parents had to go with them....how grown up!
Reply:Everyone has back tats, check this out if anyone wants to remove them lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd9oiVkZO...
Reply:a hoe indicator on your lower back thats what you need. maybe while your at it you could get a boob job and face lift. i mean in old south your an old lady. want be long before your 18 an collecting socail security. get a butterfly that way when you turn 60 it will be a vulture that covers your entire butt.
Reply:kermit the frog is always good
Reply:Tattoos can be really cute, but please don't get a "tramp stamp." As you can see, many people don't like them and they kind of have a bad rep now.
Reply:did u know them or called tramp stamps any way u should get a flower and if u have a boyfriend get a pic. and they will put it on make sure you love the guy
Reply:"insert here" with an arrow pointing down
Reply:For your 16th Birthday?? and you dont know what you want yet?? I would definitely think about this one long and hard... I am all for tattoos, but only if they are well thought out.... plus people change so much from the time they are 16 to 25 that you might HATE it in 9 years if its just something you liked at the time.... If you feel the need to get one now i would suggest you get one of something that means a lot to you...... Good Luck hun, and happy Tattooing!!!!!
Reply:Don't. I got mine on my lower back when I was 15. Now everyone has them. Be original and just don't do it.
Reply:go to http://yahoo.com and click on IMAGES. then type in LOWER BACK TATTOOS. they have some really cute ones on there. hope this helped. yahoo images is where i found my tattoo=] oh...if you have a smaller frame then you want to go with a tattoo that fits your lower back. if you are heavier set then you will want one that is a little bit bigger this way

%26lt;-----------%26gt;
Reply:Don't do it... EVERY teenybopper wants some stupid tattoo on their lower back and it is S L U T T Y! do something unique and personal if you are getting one. Unless you are as stated above.
Reply:get a heart or rose with your name or like a little sun or something cool like that...something Exotic but not to big.
Reply:lotus flowers are very pretty and work well in the curve of your lower back.
Reply:My suggestion is you are too young to make the decision to permanently put something on your body. What you like now may not be the case in 5 years. Besides, what kind of parents do you have that would allow you to do such a thing. Please wait! I waited till I was 21 for my first and 22 for my 2nd. I am so glad I didn't do it as a teenager. I really found more beauty in it at 21.
Reply:doesn't matter what we think Hun you are the one that has to live with it just make sure it is something you really want and make it original something that means something special to only you best of luck !!!!
Reply:yeah, dont get it on your back ... get a star around your hip area or on top of your foot
Reply:Wait until you're 18. I'm sure that's not what you want to hear though.
Reply:My advice is not to.
Reply:I wouldn't want one but some good ones for women are butterflies, hearts, etc.
Reply:get a big giant penis

Bad Breath

Are there instruments available to measure odors in the home and/or office?

I have asthma %26amp; the only smells that set it off are burning rubish/leaves, tobacco smoke, and musk based perfumes. Natural items such as floral, spices (vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, etc.) do not cause me problems.

yes in zero gravity

I'm new to sewing and fell in love with these curtains when I saw them. I hoping with some help I can tackle this project. Thank You for any suggestions.

Sewing drapery panels together?
You should take them to a professional if you want a professional look.

If you're going to try it yourself, you'll have to open up the seam, then measure your pleats to see how many inches the pleats are away from each other, then you'll have to allow for your seam allowance when you resew it together. It's not as simple as that, they sew the bottom and top after sewing the sides so you'll have to take the stitches out of the top and bottom in order to open up the whole seam.

If you don't care how it looks up close, I suppose you could measure how close your pleats are to each other and then just lay the right of one panel on top of the left side of the other panel and pin or baste them together so that the pleats on top are the correct distance apart - it'll get your windows covered ...

It all depends on how much you want to spend to have it done correct professionally or how quickly you want them up.
Reply:Take it to a professional. The pleats need to be evenly spaced and if they aren't, it would be obvious. You probably wouldn't be happy if it looks homemade. Draperies are harder if for no other reason than because there is so much fabric to handle and most people aren't equipped with a cutting table big enough to make it easier. Of course, if you have a large hardwood floor area and can bend and squat, maybe.

You'll definitely need to open the seams before stitching both parts together Take it to a person who does alterations at your local drycleaners and ask if they can do it for you.

What is the normal amount to spend on centerpeices?

I am doing a non-floral centerpiece and I am trying to keep my costs as low as possible. It looks like with what I want to accomlish they will be roughly $10-$15 for each centerpiece and I think there will be roughly 20 of them. Is this too much? I am just not sure what to measure against.

What is the normal amount to spend on centerpeices?
I guess it all depends on what you are trying to do. If you are just going to do a mirror and a few candles I would say that you can buy the supplies at wholesale cheaper than $10-15 a piece...but, if you are planning on doing something more elaborate then obviously the cost is going to go up.
Reply:If I break down what I spent per centerpiece it was: $1 for glass bowl from dollar store, $1 for irridescent pebbles from dollar store, $2 for ivy to wrap around base of bowl, $2 for wide pillar candle from AC Moore. So, my centerpieces cost $6 each, plus tax in NY so more like $7 each. But, I'm sure others have spent more, $10 to $15 doesn't sound like too much, sounds reasonable.
Reply:i think its fine. you want your centrepieces to finish off the room. You would spend $10 going out forbuying lunch any day of the week so why not at least that much for the happiest day of your life??
Reply:I think that is pretty reasonable. Our florist is charging us 40-45 for our centerpieces which include ivory roses, hydrangeas, chocolate artichokes, and limes, sliced and whole in them.

Good luck!
Reply:That's not a bad price at all! Most floral center pieces will cost at least $35, plus the vase!
Reply:I'm making my own, so it will only come to about $5 or $8 per table.
Reply:I am making my own non-floral centerpieces and will end up spending somewhere around $8-$10 each. I haven't decided on all of what I am going to do, but I have a rough idea.
Reply:Without knowing what you are getting for your money I can't give you a definate answer but it doesn't seem to be a totally extreme amout of money to spend.

I'd say thats about mid-range in price. You don't measure your costs against the average price of anything. There is no average price. What you need to do is sit down and decide how much you are willing to pay for this wedding. Once you have a budget decide how much you will spend in each area. Then you know..."I have 300 to spend on centerpieces". If you come in under that then awesome! Take the money to bulk up another category or just pocket the savings. If what you want turns out to be more than that 300 then you find something else or figure out a way to get what you want cheaper.
Reply:Not a terrible price. It all depends on the cost of the rest of your decorations at the hall. A florist is usually around $20-30/table. So your price sounds good.
Reply:That's about what I'm spending per table and mine are non-floral: trivet, sand, large starfish, sand dollars, shells, votives, candles....oh and flower petals. OK so not entirely non-floral, but mostly. $117 for 10 tables to be exact - excluding flower petals which I think are $40 total.
Reply:We are being charged $15 for materials and $40 labor per coneterpeice. Ours are not huge, but not small either. A medium sized planter filled with flowers.

Needing ideas on apartment tenant promotional ideas?

I am a apartment property manager and am looking for some unique promotional ideas to offer tenants that are already living here. One idea I have is best floral arrangment will receive $100 off rent. Any other unique ideas that you would love to see implemented (besides free month rent with 1 yr lease)?

Needing ideas on apartment tenant promotional ideas?
How about a pot luck to encourage a sense of community? Have different categories (entree, side dish, dessert, etc) and have a winner from each category that gets a gift certificate to a restaurant or local grocery store. (You might be able to get the gift certificate given to you as a promotional opportunity for the place giving it, too.)
Reply:anything seasonal. i don't know if your tenants have outdoor space, but planting/gardening stuff this time of year is great. good for your property and good for the tenants' community. your floral arrangement idea sounds good. are you looking to promote the community atmosphere? or competition? or are you willing to give all tenants an opportunity to take advantage of the promotion?

if it's community/competition, give everyone a bit of garden space and let them all do their own plantings. best flowers wins. best herb garden wins. all the while, you are benefitting from their yard work. or do a community fundraiser. pick a charity, have tenants gather pledges, and the one who raises the most gets the discount.

if your willing to let multiple people cash in on the prize, make it universal. same as above, where a certain level of participation guarantees the discount (ie: x-number of hours yard work, or $x.xx for the charity)

make it fun and good for ALL your tenants!

Is having wenge fitted wardrobes, bedside units & tallboy drawers gonna be to dark?

I was thinking of getting a large full length mirror (in between the fitted wardrobes in the alcoves) to bring in light %26amp; maybe having floral patterned glass on the drawer fronts or on bedside units?

What colour should I paint on the walls?

Any interior advice would be appreciated!

I do not intend to change (or cannot afford!) this look so need to ensure i get it right now...

Is having wenge fitted wardrobes, bedside units %26amp; tallboy drawers gonna be to dark?
Well, it does depend on the size of your room. The wenge can make a good statement if you're careful about it.

If your room is small, I would go for completely white walls to keep things fresh. If you prefer colours, go for either very light pink or blue shades. But I would prefer to go white and then introduce colour in the bedding and art on the walls, etc.

A mirror between the two wardrobes is a good idea. I'd keep the wardrobes plain and probably the other furniture too. Wenge is already quite busy because you can see the 'grain' - it's not a block colour like white.

As long as you keep the walls white or pale, and any accessories bright, with good lighting, you can create a good contrast between your colour scheme and the wenge furniture.

I'm moving into a loft apartment soon and I'm planning on getting a bit of wenge furniture - but I'll be keeping the walls bright white!

What do you think of the new direction estee lauder is going in for its new perfume Sensuous?

estee lauder is launching a new perfume in july(Sensuous). I have already smelt it and love it. It is a woody ,amber scent with a touch of mandarin, pepper and honey. it is lighter and not the typical floral or fruity perfume lauder has put out in the last several years. what do you think?

Do you know a web site where I can print candy bar wrappers for a girl's first communion?

A religious theme would be a plus, but pink or floral would be okay too. This is for the regular sized 5 or 7 oz candy bars, not miniatures.

Do you know a web site where I can print candy bar wrappers for a girl's first communion?
I think this website is your best bet if you want it free. Most of the designs are for mini candy bars, but there are some full-sized ones, too, and you can alter the text so that it's more appropriate.

http://alenkasprintables.com/wrappers.sh...

I didn't check it out completely, but this looks like a possibility as well. It says you can change the text, so again, that shouldn't be a problem.

http://blogs.msdn.com/templates/archive/...

This site has templates, but they're blank, so you'd have to add graphics and text yourself:

If none of these suit, then you can custom order the whole thing from one of these websites:

About floral designs?

I'm wondering about the latest and trendiest designs in flowers for my upcoming wedding. I'm thinking just simple white and green as for colores but I'm not sure about designs..

Can somebody show me some pictures of cool sets of flowers?

Thanks!

About floral designs?
Go to the site below and look at the different weddings that people have done with using green. They have so many options that are great!
Reply:The "trendiest" design in florals right now is to do the submerged thing where the flowers are under the water. Sometimes with a candle floating on top, sometimes not. There is also a strong lean towards really clean florals with a few select blooms rather than big, huge, bunches.

I would caution you to be careful with how "trendy" you make your wedding simple because when you are looking back years from now I would hate for your wedding to be "so 2007" or have you wonder what you were thinking...
Reply:if you are wearing a white dress why would you want white flowers? you wont see them, specially in photos.... get the most colorful arrangements you can find that compliment you and the season.

Blue and white floral duvet and bedding in Canadian Tire TV commercial for Debbie Travis home collection?

There's a blue and white floral duvet and other bedding in a recent Canadian Tire TV commercial for Debbie Travis home collection, and as far as I know (checking on the website) Canadian Tire doesn't carry any bedding of any kind. Can anyone tell me where this bedding is from and where to get it? I absolutely love it. It looks a bit like this:

Andrea, my Armadillo wants a floral skirt for Easter ...?

Andrea, my Armadillo wants a floral skirt for Easter ...?
I don't think it would look right with four. She was so cute last year with that dress you had on her. You know, the one with the little cherries on it? And that hat! OMG that was cute!
Reply:I've always wanted an armadillo--I'd name it Slappy. Give her whatever she wants--
Reply:Hmmm back 2, the other way may make her look like a table with a gathered edge. and make it a pretty floral to contrast yet compliment her skin tones...Andrea will Love it and maybe add a flower to match on a scrunchie headband to match...and fuschia lipstick ! She will be simple irresistable!!
Reply:back two only
Reply:Whatever you decide, you better choose leather. Armadillo's are really very hard on their clothing.
Reply:just the back two legs...you wouldn't want her to trip, would you?
Reply:Just the back two ;)
Reply:She should consider a tu tu, because, armadillos have rather short legs, U know. ;-)
Reply:Just the 2 back ones. It would be hard for her to walk if the covered all four of them. Plus It'd be hard to keep on! =] GL
Reply:All four would make it a floral dress. Floral dresses are so 1994. Poor Amanda would be the laughing stock of Easter Brunch!

Reply:ha...I wear my wife's boyshorts for her sometimes, but I couldn't do the whole outfit...
Reply:For shoes, you should DEFINITELY wear wedge heel pumps with peep toes, those are the most stylish tread this season.

As for make-up, I'd need to see your face, but sheer/glimmery silver like eye shadow/eye creme works best in all complexions as for the blush, don't bother, men look tacky with blush, but for lips I'd suggest a matte rose colored lipstick and isn't too flashy so that all the attention will go to your eyes. If you're not a fan of bold lipsticks however, try a tinted gloss, it'll make your lips pop

Wear hose that best matches your leg's skin tone, I'd suggest also shaving your legs.

For matching purse, this is hard b/c I'm a HUGE bag fan so I know a lot of different brands that start at 20 and end at 10,000 so depending on your price range search for a small glittery pink clutch. A very bold statement for a season that's all about the over-sized handbag.

For your last request, try a slip that has lace edging, it'll make you feel like you have a little sexy secret.

I hope you find this helpful, don't worry this isn't the first time I've given advice to men before on how to dress...hahaha Keep in mind theses are all styles from women's clothing adapted for you, since you're going over to our side.

P.S.

Pleated skirts are all the rage right now according to teen vogue, esp princess pleats.
Reply:Hey, to each his own, but it would look extremely girlygirl in my humble opinion, but then again that may be exactly what you're going for. And heels are always sexier than sandals if your feet can take them, don't hurt yourself. Not being rude I have 4 older sisters and two can't wear heels anymore.

How do I sell fake floral arrangements?

I recently began making fake floral arrangements and found I'm really good at it. I have a glass jar in my room I filled with sand and rocks and different types and colors of flowers. After seeing mine, I went with my friend to Michael's and I made one for her because she really wanted one too. This weekend, I just made a fall wreath for my mom after she saw a similiar one in Michael's. Instead of paying $65 for it, we bought the stuff and I made it for about $20-$25. Both my friend and my mom said I should start making these and selling them but I'm not sure how to go about advertising that I make these. How should I get the word out there that I make these fake floral arrangements?

How do I sell fake floral arrangements?
Hi, my first suggestion would be to get yourself some business cards. I make and sell Fabric Wall Art, and being a stay at home mum i do not have a very big budget for advertising so i got my business cards from http://www.vistaprint.com and they are rather cheap. I live in Australia and they cost me $9 for 250, you can choose from so many premade templates they have, all you have to do is put your own info on it. These guys are worldwide so i does not matter where you live.

You could do the craft stalls ect as already suggested, but the best thing to do would be get your own website. There are ecommerce place like http://www.etsy.com ect that you can sell on that do not charge to much. I am very lucky that my friends husband works it IT and has done me my website http://www.kimtdesigns.com for free. I would not have it otherwise because i could not afford it. I also go through www.shopify.com. It was free to start with but now they charge a monthly fee. I am not sure what your budget is, so do check out http://www.shopify.com as it is a really good site to build your own website and it is very easy.

Well i hope this has helped you a little and if you need anymore advice you can email me at my website. Have fun From Kim @ Kim T Designs
Reply:have you tried ebay?
Reply:That is great! Around this time of the year, there are lots of cities or civic groups who have boutiques or craft faires. Think about going outside of your own city when checking. Most times there is a fee to set up a booth. Also, craft shops will sell your arrangements on consignment. Don't use the word fake, but silk flower arrangements. If you have friends that do crafts, you could do a boutque in house. Fix it up like a store. Tag items so you know who gets the profit from that item. That can be done with flyers. Maybe, high schoolers can pass them out for a small fee. This is right up my alley. Good Luck!

Will floral tights work with a stripped mini dress?

I have a stripped mini dress that is black and sliver stripped, short sleeve, with a bit of a turtle neck and a tight sweater like material around the hips - which would be the bottom design of this dress.

Now as for the shoes I have -

I have these simple black strap sling-back heels. Then I have these pointed toe pumps with stiletto heels, with a sexy black leather 'belt' like strap design on them with gold metal studs on (this strap)and a silver buckel on the front. Like a belt.

Now, as for the tights -- these tights are metallic-black with a somewhat grey-silver, vintage-victorian (elegant) floral on them.

Now my question would be, would this outfit work or is it too much?

If it does work, what shoes should I wear and what kind of accessories?

I also have a red sweater like halter mini dress and the strap that makes it a halter dress (to hold the dress up) is a somewhat scarf like cloth that is very long and it wraps around the neck like a scarf.

Thank you for reading.

Will floral tights work with a stripped mini dress?

What would be some good floral stock to start a new floral business with?

I'm just starting my new floral business and would like to get your opinion on what would be ideal stock to begin with. Floral stock is very perishable and I am hoping to get ideas on what is hardy and would sell quickly for a profit. What are best selling flowers in your shop? My shop will be located in South Texas.

Thanks for your input!

What would be some good floral stock to start a new floral business with?
roses! and since its spring, spring-esque flowers would be appropriate. i would say easter lilies, but easter just ended. mothers day is coming up, so mom-flowers! umm...keep a stock of accent flowers like ferns or baby's breath or whatever its called for adding into arrangements. good luck!!!

I have seen an item that is made with fake stems at the bottom and floral foam on the top that flowers could be inserted into to make bridal bouquets.

Where can I buy pre-stemmed bouquet holders?
Go to a craft store. If you have a michaels arts near by they are good. Some fabric stores like Joann's and Hancock have them also. look for arts and crafts store in your phone book, or floral supply stores.
Reply:joann fabrics, michaels, maybe hobby lobby

Do I need a business license to start an in-home business?

I need to know how to start and operate an in-home floral shop.

Do I need a business license to start an in-home business?
It depends on where you are If you are in an unincorporated area likely not, otherwise most likely you do., Contact the SBA (small business administration) in your area and they can walk you through the steps and give you useful tips and advice for free.
Reply:Yes.. I'm with an in-home business and you definitely need a licence.
Reply:Yes you will need a business license. If you could name your state and county I could be of more help. If your shops has different name than your own then you will need to get a doing business as(dba). You will also need to registar to pay sales tax if your state has sales tax. If you will have employee you will need a federal employer tax id(ein).

You might have trouble opening an in-home floral shop because of zoning laws. I know that my county would prohibit it so your going to have to check up on that.

Who cares? Take it back to the florist and get your money back.
Reply:could be termites or ant larvae.

if the plant died in a couple of days something was terribly wrong

as a former florist i have to agree with answerer that said take it to the flower shop,

they can determine what killed the plant,

it sounds like it was cooked or got tooooooooooo dry

or was fertilized when dry or something else dramatic

they will be able to tell

What color would you wear to a Labor Day Wedding in NY?

I went to a wedding in June. A lot of the ladies wore black. I'm just curious . . . what's appropriate for a wedding? Do I wear something sexy, something conservative . . . In June, I wore I floral V-neck, cap-sleeve dress above the knee. I felt out of place. Thanks for your help!

What color would you wear to a Labor Day Wedding in NY?
Why not a fall color or (my favorite right now) a rich, juicy berry color. Black is safe chic, which is why so many women are opting for it now, for weddings, funerals, etc.
Reply:I would go with an aqua or turquoise... something not extremely sexy or conservative- maybe somewhere in the middle. You could always pair it with a cute black shrug and black heels/purse if you felt like black needed to be included (since it's close to fall).
Reply:I have had a hard time with this too. I am always messing up. I am going to a wedding around this time too. I am told it is a casual wedding, but it seems like it is getting formal. I am wearing a long dress that is black with cream flowers. I am wearing a long strand of cream pearls. I am doing the pearls because they can be casual or formal. I am wearing the dress because it can be casual or fomal. The dresses is sleveless and I have a cardigan that is a bit dressier than usual, but not too dressey. I am wearing black flats.

I am trying to hit an inbetween point. It is hard because I went to a wedding that was supposed to be "summer casual" and it ended up everyone was wearing fomal dresses. I was wearing a summer dress. My mom wore pants and a shirt. It is so confusing.

It also depends on the time of day of the wedding. Is it night or day. Where is the reception? Is it in a hotel or a back yard. I guess I would suggest going middle of the road like me. Do something that is both formal and causual like the pearls and a dress that can go either way.

What about the color Navy? It can be fomal because it is dark, but also can be more casual? Would that work? Also do you know the bride or the family of the bride? If you are comfortable ask them. This is my boyfriends sisters wedding and I have been asking her. I am still totally not sure, but I am trying. It seems that the bride wants it casual and the groom wants it formal.

Best wishes. I hope my outfit works out and yours does too.

This is my boyfriends sisters wedding and I have been asking her. I am still totally not sure, but I am trying. It seems that the bride wants it casual and the groom wants it formal.

Best wishes. I hope my outfit works out and yours does too.

How many tattoos are too many on a girl? Should i get another one?

I already have a tattoo of a floral vine that wraps up my foot and behind my ankle and one on my bikini line of a tribal butterfly. SInce they are addictive im thinking of getting a 3rd one on the back of my neck below the hairline. BUT i don't want to be the"tattoo girl". At what point do they go from being tasteful to unattractive?

How many tattoos are too many on a girl? Should i get another one?
At what point do they go from being tasteful to unattractive? It all depends on the types of tattoos and the confidence of the person. I remember seeing two girls one day both with full arm tattoos. The first girl I saw in the morning had a full sleeve and swallows on each shoulder (tank top shirt). The way she carried herself and the beautiful coloring of all her tattoos made it look AMAZING!! Meanwhile the girl I saw in the afternoon also had a full sleeve, but her tattoo was a weird naked woman with poems written out on her arm, she noticed I kept staring at her arm and told me not to read her arms (my expression was ??). So to recap my little tale, get as MANY and as COLORFUL as long as you are confident and proud of them all.
Reply:It depends on your taste. I know many, many beautiful women with sleeves, huge chest and backpieces, and they are incredibly gorgeous... There are never too many tattoos, and it dosen't matter about genders. Tattoos are for everyone.... Report It
Reply:i think that the one behind ur neck is fine but anywere els real big is too much its better to have them in secret spots
Reply:If you have one, that's one too many.
Reply:That is a question that only you can answer.
Reply:just one lower back tattoo~!
Reply:I don't think that there is ever enough of tattoo's. It is a piece of ART and you shouldn't have to refrain from anything. Expression comes out from tattoo's and I think 3 is just fine. If you went 15 it would be ok too. Remember you only live once, but make sure that when you are old and grey you will not think "oh why did I do this" . Good Luck
Reply:I have 9 small tatto`s and I plan on getting a few more..its all upon how you feel..don't worry about other ppl`s opinion..remember why you started tatto-ing in the first place..for me its an expression of my feelings about certain personal events that has happened to me
Reply:some people say one is too many, some people think its fine to have 20

if you want it then go for it, I mean how often to people see the two you've got anyway?
Reply:well let me say i have a few tattoos and you get as many as you like don't worry about what other people say just don't get any guys name on your body unless there you kids or what ever and try and get them where you can cover them up with cloths if you don't want to see them or any one else... tattoos are body art so please what ever you get make sure you will be able to live with it for the rest of you life...
Reply:i agree, 1 is 2 too many
Reply:Just get them in places that they can't be seen with clothes on, i.e. lower hip, back, shoulder blades...I don't care about being labeled the tattoo girl, I just got my latest one on my forearm and would like to get sleeved if possible.
Reply:put 2 in your buttocks they should look nice when you are nude!
Reply:Well i think its okay to get tattoo's but as long as they look good. Some tattoo's don't look good with some people. If you think tattoos are your thing go ahead and get another. Don't label your self, your not the only one with tattoos. There's woman who have up to 20 tattoos.

Are tea cups and saucers an antique if on the bottom it says queen elizabeth?

they are really old and on the bottom it says england and queen elizabeth? all white with gold trim only the inside has a floral design. it also says some other things.

Are tea cups and saucers an antique if on the bottom it says queen elizabeth?
Hello,

Your Teacups and saucers were created by the famed Royal Doulton Porcelain Company of Burslem England. Founded in 1815 and originally known as Doulton %26amp; Co until they received their Royal Warrant.

Royal Doulton set levels of quality craftsmanship that are still considered standards of excellence today. After some financial hard times (and many factory closures) the Royal Doulton Company (and family-Royal Albert %26amp; Minton) are now apart of the Waterford-Wedgwood Group, and they are again setting new standards of excellence in quality and design. You may find it enjoyable to visit Doulton's current website or to read a little more about them and their history in a Antique Porcelain book.

If your set has a number on the base that may assist you in getting an idea of the date. If you do not have a good reference book on Doulton, you can access a partial date list here http://www.antique-marks.com/doulton-mar...

My personal guess would be that the pieces were made sometime in the 1950s; during that time Doulton purchased several smaller English Porcelain factgories (Paragon China, Etc) and began to use their "Royal Warrant" as apart of the backstamps of a great deal of their wares.

Now whether or not they are an antique depends upon your definition of the term "Antique". Some peopel hold to the view that anything over 35 years old is an antique. Others hold that it must be over 50 years old and then there are those that have held that a piece must be over 100 years old to be considered an antique (the view popular with most of the Professional antique world and among discriminating dealers).

Whether it is an antique or not, the pieces are still fine example of quality English porcelain that should be treasured and will certainly be destined to become heirlooms of tomorrow.

I hope this information was helpful. Merry Christmas!
Reply:Royal Doulton might have produced a pattern to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. That would have from 1953 onwards. There are various companies who are happy to buy odd bits of china as people break things and look for replacements. It's a pity you didn't say what the other wording was.
Reply:Yes, I would think so.

Does anyone have their nipples tattooed?

I am thinking that this would be very sensual and am wondering if anyone else has ever done this. I am chicken to get them pierced, but would love to have the areola on both breasts tattooed with some sort of floral/viney design.....

Thoughts?

Does anyone have their nipples tattooed?
im nearly ttally covered i even have a tattoo on my man hood i cant tell you what it says thats for my girlfriend only

as far as i know its not possible no proffesional tattoo artists will tattoo nipeles it just wouldent work
Reply:I don't but my boyfriend does and he took it like a man! surprising ME and the artist. Eventhough he had to go to his "happy place" he went through it! I say go for it if you like it!
Reply:From what I hear, it's rather painfull, but I've seen a lot that look great when they're done. I will be having some of my aerolas tattooed when I do my chest/side project, but I haven't started on that yet, so I can't say for sure.

Ignore the idoit who made the comment about breast feeding, who appearently knows absolutely nothing about female anatomy. Piercing and tattooing the nipples/areolas will not prevent you from breast feeding.
Reply:no. why not tatoo around them.
Reply:well, if you want my opinion there are pros and cons to this. one con is that when you get old and get wrinkles, it's gonna look sick. and one pro is that if you don't care about that than i just say go for it! and if your not the type of flashy person (which i think your not) you would never see it.
Reply:go for it

that woudl hurt really bad
Reply:I don't have tatts on my nipples bu ti have 6 tatts and i would imagine that it would be just as painful if not more then piercing.
Reply:No, not my nips. I do have the Declaration of Independence on my knob though. The only reason it fit was cause the tatoo artist was a hot girl!
Reply:That is the grossest thig I have ever heard of! Do you want to have children

you say no now, but guess what! when you get them you will love them, and if you get your nipples peireced, or tatooed you cannot breast feed them! just DONT EVER DO IT

And I know you will be blessed with a child some day!

What offspring are produced from a cross of a heterozygous plant and a homozygous white flowered plant?

In snapdragons, the alleles for flower color exibit an incomplete dominance between the tw alleles (red,Cr,and white ,Cw).The floral color of a heterozygous plant is pink as these flowers have less red pigment than homozygous red plants.

What offspring are produced from a cross of a heterozygous plant and a homozygous white flowered plant?
One half will be pink, while one half will be white.

Using the Punnett square:

CrCw x CwCw =

CrCw (pink)

CrCw (pink)

CwCw (white)

CwCw (white)

I can't draw it here, so you'll have to draw it for yourself.

I think you can pair them with capris, bermudas, jeans, a skirt, a dress. Mix with a solid colored top in a hue that matches one of the colors in the shoes.

If you want to order clothes to match online and look yourself just go to polyvore.com. Once your there click explore. Then click an outfit you like (just anyone) and then on the side are where all the items came from, pick the one you like the best and buy it. It could be unavailabe though so just explore the website that sells it and you could find a shirt or what ever you like and then just buy it off the inernet. You also could just find ideas to wear if you cannot buy anything.

For those shoes I would say a lighter color. You should do the colors of the shoes or anything that matchs. You should do like shorts, capris, skirts, skinny jeans, dresses, or those leggings without feet. So, pretty much anything! I would stay away with sporty and casual with those shoes because it doesn't go. Also those shoes are soooooo cute!

How do you use yuna floral fallal?

it is her specal sphere and they all have one but i do not know how to use..... help me out people

How do you use yuna floral fallal?
In one battle you must change to all the dress spheres you have on your grid before you can change to any of the special spheres each person has. When you do this the next time you go to change your dress you will see all the dress spheres glowing around them. I can not remember what to hit next but the game should tell you (I think it is R2) and you will turn into the special dress.

Where do i look for decorating ideas, e.g. floral arrangements, ribbons for a ribbon cutting ceremony?

You should contact a local florist. Many of them are part of the FTD or 1800 flowers groups. These associations often have books given out to florists of the various floral arrangements that are regularly sold (and which each florist can replicate).

I studied the later system of classification of plants gave more importance to .............?

floral charcters coz they are more stable.

i want to know that whether the other parts of the plant not stable?if so why?%26amp; also how the floral character ca be more stable?

I studied the later system of classification of plants gave more importance to .............?
Hi Smart,

Yes, flower parts are more stable; however, their use in earlier classification systems involved more than their stability.

It was the belief of botanists that flowers developed in the earlier stages of the evolution of Angiosperms and had a tendency to remain a constant throughout the evolution of plants. The successful changes in the parts of flowers were usually predicated upon environmental niches that favored different means of pollinization, seed dispersal, seeds' food storage, etc. Another facet of these relationships was their ability to cross-pollinate, which is a great indicator of the close relationship between two plants. Cross-pollinization would most likely could not have factored into a classification system based upon other parts of plants.

When a plant's flower evolved into another type of flower, that flower then became the "parent" for another lineage (family) of flowering plants. Stems, branches, roots, leaves, etc. more quickly changed to adapt to environmental influences, which lead to the tribes, varieties, species, etc. of a parent plant's lineage.

These beliefs of the earlier botanists are now being greatly substantiated by DNA studies.

I hope this helps.

~Flower Power
Reply:I think the more appropriate term here is that flowers are consistent. This means that the pattern of floral arrangement is quite consistent in a genus or a family for example. Remember that there are plants which belong to the same family and genus even if one is a shrub and the other one is a tree. Using this premise I think that pretty much describes why flowers are used for classification.

Hope this helps...

How much will this bouquet re-creation cost?

I'm in love with this bouquet, and want to re-create it only using white and ivory roses with the green ivy trim around it. Could anyone out there with floral arranging experience ballpark a cost for this bouquet? Thanks in advance!

45 to 60 dollars depends on what you want exactly

Can you hang a wreath out of natural looking eggs on your door all Spring?

Or is it only appropriate until Easter and you are supposed to have a floral wreath? I know it's not terribly important but I'm just wondering. Thank you!

Can you hang a wreath out of natural looking eggs on your door all Spring?
I guess you could but I think it would be better to switch to a floral wreath as opposed to one that is only eggs. But if a wreath had a few eggs scattered in with flowers then it would be fine to leave it up all spring.
Reply:well Isee nothing wrong with that, do you mean a Christmas wreath with out lights on it just eggs, sure.
Reply:My neighbours let their Easter wreath four weeks: two weeks before Easter, two weeks after Easter and then change it to a floral wreath ;-)

Does anyone know a good inexpensive upholster in Houston, TX?

I have oversized demin couch from Norwalk, my chair is floral (green, blue %26amp; yellow). The chair is still in good condition however my cushions on my couch are not...the welting is ruined. I was hoping to save money by just having my cushions re-upholstered maybe to a plaid fabric to coordinate with my color scheme. They are t-cushions and have zippers, so they can be removed. The fabric on the couch is still fine. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know a good inexpensive upholster in Houston, TX?
try furniture stores and see if they do it.

Do you think my tattoos should be similar in style?

I don't really know what you would call the different styles, but I have sort of an 'old school' looking skull on my ankle and a more 'new school' looking star design on my back. I want to get my next one on my thigh (opposite leg of the skull) of a floral desgin but since they are so different would it look funny to be able to see both at the same time? Hope this makes some sense, I'm not quite sure how to get out what i'm trying to say.

Do you think my tattoos should be similar in style?
No, it shouldn't look bad..............if your tattooist is a good artist, he/she should be able to find something that will compliment you other tats.

They should all fit together nicely.
Reply:Maybe you should connect all the tattoos so your body will be one solid color....you would be the first for that and very unique
Reply:If your satisfied with what you've chosen, then it shouldn't matter

I'm covered in a hodgepodge or Traditional, Tribal, and custom pieces.

I love every single one of them.

The only thing I would be concerned about is maybe getting a sleeve done and that every part of the sleeve is done in the same style. But i'm getting off track.
Reply:i think you should get whatever you like on your body your pieces dont all have to fit in together its whateveryou like. i have a fairy on the back of my neck a japanese style 3/4 sleeve and a tribal tramp stamp (that i hate) non of my tattoos had anything to do with each other except that i liked them at the time i got them, and you should see my husband hunny nothing on him has anything to do with the other
Reply:GO FOR IT! If you love a particular piece of art, it shouldn't matter. Art does not have to have rhyme or reason - tattoos are art! What matters is that you have a good tat artist to back it up. Good luck with your decision.
Reply:Nah.....wouldn't even cross my mind to notice they were all different styles - I just like seeing people's different tattoos. There is too much space on your body to make everything the same style :) Have at it!
Reply:there is no reason for you to have the same style tattoos. that is the beauty of it, you can get whatever you like and it will be fine. the most important thing to do is to make sure you have a good tattoo artist.
Reply:if they are all done well.. I think it would look fine.. I've got a mix of styles.. (mostly celtic) but I've got color, black and grey, and a little bit of tribal .. (and one anime style design), but I've gotten compliments on a lot of my work and how it flows together.. (even one area that has three different designs by three different artists)

Choose good quality designs that you like and good artists.. and it should work out fine.
Reply:yea it would be kinda funnii
Reply:I think I know what you mean. Once done with my back, there is the possibility of doing work perhaps on a calf or lower leg for me. I'm not sure if I want to continue the theme or style from my back, but also don't know if it will clash or look strange if I don't.

This might be the case where the best to do is bring in the professional - ie, to see what the artist's comments are. It might be one of those things where it will work if a given approach is taken.

Best of luck to you. I'll be curious what you decide.
Reply:It looks better if you keep to the same style of tats, otherwise they look a mess,Ive tattooed people with Japanese designs then the following week they are wanting tribal,it spoils the whole effect.
Reply:I don't think it would look strange. Each tattoo should reflect who you are at the time you get it. So, different styles will just showcase your growth in life. I have American Indian symbols circling my right ankle, but I have a tropical flower tattoo on my left foot. Totally different, but the colors do coordinate.

What is a good perfume that smells like fresh, clean laundry that's been dried out on the line?

I want a new scent, but not something that's overly floral or spicy. I adore the smell my laundry gets when I bring it in from the line outside and wish I could capture that smell all the time.

If u want fragrances that smell like that, instead of using perfumes , u might wanna change to edt's as they dont smell that strong.u can google up some edt's that has floral scents in them, but if ure ever at a department store, take some time to browse around. The counters should provide u a can of coffee beans to "neutralize" ur nose after "sniffing" 2-3smells or u might not be able to tell wot u wud like anymore, too much smells can confuse ur nose..lol..i personally love Issey Miyake ( a japanese designer ) , its a light smelling fragrance that i've been using ever since i discovered it.U can always ask the assistants over the counters to recommend fragrances that has a floral smell in them.Happy Hunting tho!

What is the difference between a rose and a sweetheart rose?

i'm looking at flowers for my girlfriend for valentines day and one of the floral arrangements i'm looking at has 48 roses (several colors) (at the same price as 12 red or yellow) but it says they're sweetheart roses, does this mean they are smaller and maybe that's why there are so many or are they crappy quality? i would like to get this for her because they're are so many but i don't want to get her something of low quality or cheesy. can anybody help me would you (women only) like this kind of thing vs. the standard 12? (her favorites are yellow and that's what i got her last year was 12 yellow and 1 red, she doesn't really like the reds all that much)

What is the difference between a rose and a sweetheart rose?
sweet heart roses are indeed much smaller. They are very cute though - and 48! I personally would prefer the tradtional size but I love the idea of mixing the colors!
Reply:Get her the Sweetheart roses and make sure she knows that they are Sweetheart roses---mention that in the card you send with the roses...Sounds soooo cute and sweet.DO IT GET THEM.
Reply:Roses are more formal for like you wife or longtime girlfriend ,but sweetheart flowers are for a crush
Reply:One heart felt rose would suffice. The only standards are the ones you personally agree with. Do your thing and be humble and honest. You will both be pleased no matter how many roses she gets. Its the thought not the count. Unless she's extremely shallow...that is another story. Good Luck!

So...if flowers drop off once plants are fertilised, how come they are in bloom for months?

The flowers in parks remain in blom throughout the season. If the flowerheads drop off and are replaced by seed packets, where do the floral displays come from and how come flowers in gardens remain in bloom constantly?

So...if flowers drop off once plants are fertilised, how come they are in bloom for months?
1) The process of fertilization is with reference to a particular flower and NOT the plant as a whole.

So the '' so...if flowers drop off once plants are fertilized, how come they are in bloom for months? " is an incorrect question.

2 ) When the process of fertilization is completed in a particular flower ( Pollination follwed by fertilization in side the ovary and ovule ; the floral parts begin to drop away one by one and only the ovary ( Pistil part ) remains and converted in to a fruit ( You have called it a seed packet ! ).

3 ) In spite of the facts mentioned in (2) above new flowers continue to be produced from the flowering buds and in their turn get fertilized and produce fruits !

4) The flowers in a garden will continue to bloom as long as the 'Blooming Period ' ( Flowering period ) is on. IT is irrespective of the fact that some of them have produced fruits.

Now some examples == click on the links below one by one

I need a painting design to go onto a section of wall. Does any one have any ideas.?
I saw a home makeover show where the designer projected a picture of a flower onto the wall so that it covered nearly the entire wall and painted it. It looked so lovely! Pick a flower from your quilt and try the same thing. Just use a projector, paint in the color parts, then outline it in black.

Any good internet sources for making your own t-shirt?

I'm looking to design a custom shirt for my friend, but I need some classic design elements to add some artistic flare to my designs. I plan to print the design myself and try the iron-on technique, but I don't know where to find any design elements to spice up my artwork (such as floral elements, or the "rustic" or "weathered" look). Anyone got any ideas?

Try using images.google.com to search for inspiration for what you're looking for. Copy and paste the images you like into a Word document. Then look at each picture and see what it is about that image that you're drawn to, what about it do you like.

Try searching for "Chinese Floral Design" and/or "Art Nouveau" for the floral inspiration.

Does anyone know what a porcelain birdcage might be worth or if it is an antique or not?

I found a birdcage made of porcelain in a friend's parent's abandoned house. It is white and has blue floral designs on it tht are handpainted. It definately looks old. I can't find another one like it anywhere online through any search engines. These people were pack-rats beyond belief and have many other antiques. It is beautiful and I think it might be worth something.

It is DEFINITELY worth something. Porcelain is primarily from Asia, so there is a good chance it is imported. The fact it is a birdcage is pretty astounding. If it is not chipped at all, than it sounds like it is a very rare and highly collectible piece. It is near certain that it would have to be hand carved. You should get it appraised by a real appraiser. I would love to see a picture of it.
