Reply:Taste and smell usually run hand-in-hand. They are a combination of responses from olfactory receptors located in the nasal cavity.

There is no significant medical reference for sweet, floral nasal odor. The only odor that are commonly reported are Loss of taste, Perverted taste, and Fould taste.

Many gastrointestinal disorders do present a bad taste in the mouth, but usually, this is over-shadowed by far more significant symptoms. Of several thousands of taste buds, however, the tounge can only distinguish salt, sweet, sour, and bitter; in a respiratory infection one or both of these senses may be lost.
