One of the first things you’ll see when Old Navy’s latest TV commercial debuts Thursday is the Old Navy logo – big, bold and animated. Also prominently featured are dresses, and plenty of them.

The clear message is that Old Navy is the place to go for beautiful summer-weight dresses in a variety of styles and colors.

The spot, “Dresses,” begins a two week-plus run tomorrow night in the U.S. and Canada on such programs as "American Idol," "Grey’s Anatomy" and "Gilmore Girls."

This latest Old Navy TV ad was directed by Arni %26amp; Kinski, who also directed music videos for such bands as Snow Patrol and Placebo, as well as TV spots for Hummer, Coors and Mercedes Benz. Landis Smithers, VP, creative for Old Navy provided creative direction.

And music is a song called “Believers,” by the Australian band Rogue Traders.

Dresses featured in the spot include a long linen halter dress in a floral pattern, and baby doll dresses in a blue check, brown floral, red print and white eyelet.
