Well depending on where you live, my suggestion is that you bring a parent or you won't get any service. Most (if not all) states require you're 18.
Reply:If you dont know what you want then you shouldnt be getting one. It's going to stay on your body forever so you need to be sure and sure for awhile that you will like what you get forever
Reply:Do you want my real opinion? Wait!! I got tattoos when I was younger and now I regret them. just wait about 5 years and see where you are at and maybe you will change your mind. That is not to say tattoos are not cool but I would wait and see and maybe just get a temp. tattoo they look like the real thing and the good thing is they are removable and you can change where you want it the next time. Reply:Okay, wow...16? Its a little young..but you do what you want...just remember, its there for life. And the lower back is considered a "Tramp Stamp"... Most girls get butterflies and stuff like that...its really up to you to decide what you want, after all its your body..and your the only one who has to like it... If the design is not something that you would be proud to show, then you shouldn't get it.... Make sure the design is of something that makes you happy, its what you want, not what others want, its not their body, they don't have to live with it, so therefore its not their choice... 1) You can go to your local artist and take a look at the flash, (pictures of tattoos usually hanging on a wall or bound in an album)

2) There are many wonderful pics of tats online, try doing a google image search and see what you find!



I have one last piece of advice, once you find something you like, print out multiple copies of it. Put one next to your bed, on your mirror, next to the tv, in your notebooks at school, anywhere you're going to see it alot. If at any point in time you get sick and tired of looking at it, I would try to find a new design.

Reply:Don't get a tattoo until you are at least 18 +. There a ton of options out there for tattoos and Flowers are "TYPICAL" now a days, especially on the LOWER BACK!! You will also need a credit card (MOM or DAD obviously) to buy the tattoo pic. and STENCIL. The tattoo guy/girl will need both of these when doing it for you, it makes it 100x's easier for them instead of randomly going into there store and picking one out. The prices also range from like $2.00 and up. Once you buy it, you can print it off and bring it to the tat. store.

PS to someone who said they aren't old enough..she CAN go into a tat. store with a PARENT or GUARDIAN, they will have to sign documents stating they are in charge of her etc etc. My bf's little brother has 2 friends who are 16 and 17 and have tats. but there parents had to go with them....how grown up!

I am all for tattoos, but only if they are well thought out.... plus people change so much from the time they are 16 to 25 that you might HATE it in 9 years if its just something you liked at the time.... Besides, what kind of parents do you have that would allow you to do such a thing. Please wait! I waited till I was 21 for my first and 22 for my 2nd. I am so glad I didn't do it as a teenager. I really found more beauty in it at 21.
