Can you clean a white table cloth with a pattern with bleach?

I have a beautiful 1930's table cloth that had coffee spilled over it. It is white cotton, with a floral pattern. Can I bleach this?

Don't do it!!
Reply:Use Colorx2 for colors.
Reply:try oxi-clean first...

what ever you do... make sure you don't machine dry it...
Reply:No. I once had an all white shirt with a colored floral pattern in the middle. I washed in beach and ruined the pattern on the shirt. The shirt was bright white though, but no more blue flowers on the shirt. They are orange and yellow now.
Reply:ammonia will get the coffee out and not ruin anything

follow the directions on the bottle! there is laundry directions!

(i would go with the gentle cycle for such an old cloth)
Reply:if it has any other colors than white no.....i would take it to the dry cleaners or spot test a corner. That is to old to take a risk.
