What colors would be described as giving a "clean" look or feel?

I need to re-do my bathroom and want to use colors that would make it seem "clean" and "open" should i do stripes or floral, darks or light colors? Thanks in advance.

Clean usueally resembles what is clean in Nature. Think crisp blue sky, white fluffy clouds and all the colors that you see mixed in. There are beiges and pinks and yellows and versions all in the same palet. I think stripes mixed with florals can be used but might close it up. I would use just stripes (blue and white) and maybe not the whole thing. Make sure you accent with clean white towels with maybe a blue trim to match the paint choice. I assume the sink and other fixtures are white?

If not , I would go with sand colors mixed with white. Maybe use seashells as an accent.
Reply:light colors make a room seem "clean" to me...I especially like a light blue bathroom with white towels and accessories or a white bathroom with turguoise (sp?) towels, rugs, etc.
Reply:Use lighter colors. And, mirrors make a room seem bigger than it is. But, avoid white tiles or linoleum, especially on a floor. Anything and everything will show up on them. Go with a light beige or cream color, and maybe with a travertine-like texture to hide dirt and stuff. But, don't use travertine tiles. They're very porous and doesn't work well in bathrooms. Get ceramic tiles if you're going to use tile.

The bathtub and/or shower enclosure should be white, though, if you're looking at a 1-piece unit.
Reply:clean is usually associated with solids and neutrals and whites

and sometimes certain pastel colors too e.g. celery, ice blue
Reply:clean and fresh, use as many mirrors as you can,a very light green on walls, and stainless in every place you can
