What is the best Digital Camera for me?

I am planning on attending floral school this spring and will be needing a digital camera to enable me to build a portfolio.

What I need is:

- The ability to take good close up photos

- Something that works well with indoor lighting

- A nice viewscreen because I absolutely hate viewfinders

- Something that doesn't require me to be perfectly steady

- The camera to also work as a general use camera as it will be the only one I have

- To not spend an arm and a leg

What should I look for? What is out there that fits my needs.

What is the best Digital Camera for me?
Check out the Canon SD450. It takes excellent close up photos. In fact, there's even photos of flowers in the review below. It has a large 2.5" LCD viewscreen. And it's tiny, so it's easy to take with you wherever you go.

If you're going to be taking a lot of close-up photos indoors, you should really get a tripod. They're only about $20-$30 and will make a *huge* difference in the quality and ease of shooting your flower photos. Then, you won't need to worry about being perfectly steady.

Good luck!
Reply:a samsung 4 megapixel i believe should pass muster on all your requirements
Reply:It all depends on what brand you like. I like the Canon line just because I like the price point(s) and the features available. I did buy a Powershot A75 a few years ago and have had no problems. Today you can find an A510 Powershot for around $200 and it should do fine for your needs. Best of luck to you!
Reply:For digital cameras Canon, decide how much you want to spend the digital elphs are great I'd suggest the SD300 and a tripod for the steady shots.

Small enough to carry around, automatic shutter to keep the lense clean, good software, good products.

For motion cameras Sony for still canon.

Reply:I would suggest a Canon Powershot. It is relativly new, five megapixel, and has a good macro feature.
Reply:I perdonally like the Kodak EasyShare V530, but it costs $300.
