i already have a low asian style bed and i have brocade chinese fabric i need bedding i really like red floral chinese prints

Reply:Red, black and also purple is a color they use. Use some fans, large fans on the wall.

Vases with chinese designs, alot of teak wood or black laquer, bamboo mats, don't forget the chinese lucky plants and of course the picture of a giant fortune cookie.

A brocade dresser scarf works well, and aromatic candles to get the ambiance going.

And you need some of those little mini tree's, and I can't think of the name of them.
Reply:What about Fabric Wall Art. These look fantastic and would look very effective in the Chinese theme. I also agree that Red is the colour to go with. I have seen fabric called the 'Cranes' and also another not sure of name but it has bamboo on it. It is quite expensive fabric at around $143 per metre ( Australian Dollars) It depends on what your budget is. Reply:I would paint at least one wall if not all red. I would have black accents with small touches of white accents. Some chinese writings on the wall would look good. For the bed I would have lots and lots of pilllows with red, black and white touches all in different fabrics....more silky ones would look nice...
Reply:I would keep with a red color theme--red is definitely central to chinese design. You could get some of those paper lanterns and hang then from the ceiling--those are cool--just make sure you use a low-wattage bulb with the paper lanterns because you don't want a fire-hazard. Also, anything with dragons. Bamboo gardens or bamboo plants are cute, supposedly bring good luck, and are also asian. Also, you could get one of those dressing partition things--where you stand behind it when you get dressed--they're really cool looking.
