Is there a perfume out there available for people with problems with "scent"?

I notice that whenever I smell perfume I get migraines that can last a few hours.

Is there a line of perfume that caters to people with sensitive noses? Something not floral or too perfume-ish if you know what I mean?

I'm allergic to the alcohol base used in commercial perfumes, and to whatever's in Eternity by Calvin Klein. I started using perfume oils years ago, and can wear almost any scent as long as it's an oil and not an alcohol base.

The neat thing about oils is that you can either buy reproductions of designer scents, or you can use single scents to create your own unique fragrance.

Check out retailers in your area that carry natural skin care products or health food stores...they will usually carry a decent selection. Good luck!
Reply:Aubrey organics makes a light lemony scented perfume oil that contains only essential oils and no chemicals.Keep in mind any scented product whether natural or not has a potential to irritate sensitive people. So you may want to visit a health food store to sample it before purchase.

Reply:I really like the "Heart" line by Clinique. Especially "Happy Heart". It's a very nice clean smell, and supposedly has pheromones in the formula that make you attractive to the opposite sex. It's the only cologne that I wear regularly, if not every day: great for men as well as women, and as Titou will tell you -- for dogs, too!

As an aside: is there anything worse than the awful "Fahrenheit" for men by Dior? Criminy, it smells like dirty underpants steeped in hairgel, and actually leaves a vapor-trail! Almost as bad, its female cousin, "Paris", by YSL. Grandma in heat. Yikes.
