Quick water use in floral shops.?
"Quick water" is probably also the stuff called "floral setting resin" that's sold in craft stores, etc., near the fake flowers. It comes in two parts which are mixed together then poured into clear vases and other containers to look like water, but the resin also holds silk flower stems/etc. in place.

It's actually a type of epoxy resin that doesn't set up as hard as regular epoxy resin.

You can find various brand names of this type of material on this page, along with more info on how to use it:

... click on the category there called "Softer-surface epoxy resins (floral resin -Acrylic Water, Liquid Illusion, etc.)". . . )

As for making a candle, I don't know what you mean by that. Floral Setting Resin is not used to make candles, I don't think... I think that's a different type of gel, but I don't really know, so take that with a grain of salt.

Btw, if you put something porous like paper into floral setting resin, I believe you'd need to first seal it (with a coat of permanent white glue diluted with water, or clear acrylic spray, for example) to keep it from becoming translucent when it's put in the resin. Also, if you use ink of some kind on the paper which isn't waterproof, you'd want to seal it too.

Reply:I have never heard of this product being used to make candles. Paper would not work, but you can use stones. Have you ever heard of gel candles? That might be more of what you are looking for. You have to make it in a glass container of some sort, You attach your wick to the bottom of the container and pour in the melted gel to form the candle. This product is offered on line or in any craft store, Paper will not work with this product either. If you want wording on the candle, what about making your own decals that you could attach to the container? The site below will tell you how to make gel candles.
